08 February 2007 - A long time comin......
Ok so heres the deal, ive been bloody slack! WHere was I before leaving last time? Just got here i think and got dialup going. Ok well school started after PD and I was getting to know the new teachers who so far seem pretty cool. I have 10 boys in my class and 1 girl. I actually have 2 girls but the other could be mistaken for a boy. Shes 12 and the smallest in the class. Says nothing at all so its like u dont know shes there. Been having a REAL hard time with my class over the past week. Being full of boys they just cant control themselves and today I came down quite hard on them. and they are starting to respond a little better, but i honestly think i'll burn out if this continues. break through.... JOSH CAN READ!To those who dont know a kid in my class last year who was a psychologists wet dream patient coulnt read. and on friday last week he said his first sentance. We went fishing. thats it but i was so proud:P Fishing has been a big thing up here. I caught an 80 cm Barramundi up here a few days ago. Phil was pissed because he was proud of his 30 cm catch. THis thing was a mother of barras and fed 5 of us for 2 days straight! Went fishing tonight and i actually caught 5 and phil caught 5. SHould have some pics comning up laters. We put them all back bar one cos Kiana wanted to make sushi, and she doesn a damn fine job of it actually! And thats about it really. My main aim is to get the bahavious down pat asap so learning can begin, dont know how long that'll take but yea. Thanks to all the people giving me suport up here hey, mentions to Bec who i contact regularly who is having a whale of a time where she is (go actign price becca), Kellie who is helping me see sense in some of these kids and giving me moral support up here. Go the Kiddiy teacher!, Helen, Bonnie, Kat and family especially the biggest mention to the Uber Doodle! who has been fighting UTI all on her lonesome and even Dr Miracle didnt pick it up:( Speak to you lot soon tho, I may be flying to Wyndham this weekend. MEt a uni student who is doin med and is posted to Wyndham for a couple of weeks. Accoriding to the others staff members shes taken a liking to me and my mate phil is trying to get me a free ride out of here to wyndham for the weekend hahaha. I will take him up on the offer just to get out of here i think. Im not holding any hope but you never know she seemed quite nice:P Speak to ya'll laters Barra Dave
